Read Books with a Life Lesson
Do you read a lot? I do! While I do enjoy fiction, some sci-fi, and many other genres, I prefer to read books with a life lesson. I'm not saying it's got to move philosophical mountains, but I love to know something of value at the end of the reading that I didn't know before having delved in.
What do I mean by value? Well, before I share my definition of something worth my time to read, let me ask you... what tickles your sense of value?

Do you like adventure? This book's got some of that! Is it the element of surprise that whets your whistle? Does an interesting plot twist capture your attention? You'll see more than a few unexpected turns here, too (and these stories are all TRUE). Warmth? Mystery? A sense of connectedness with the protagonist? Welcome! And if it's something spiritual you're after...help with finding real answers, discovering personal empowerment, victory in overcoming this life's challenges...please feel free to look here, in our book. We wrote it for God first, and for you next. Not to be outdone, we wrote it for ourselves, as well! What a journey! Come join us!!! |

Usually, when you buy a book, expecting to find a life lesson, you'll likely find one. But wouldn't it be somethin' special if in your one-book purchase, you ended up getting two books with a life lesson?!
An Almighty God? Get Serious! and Trophies of Grace are books with a life lesson that stresses faith over fear
We can look around and see that the only thing that stays the same is change. Change is happening all the time.
We're changing all the time.... We're growing older & wiser (we hope). Our weight goes up or down (or up and down). Our skin gets thinner. We lose our hair. Our strength lessens. We keep learning things we didn't know.
We get sick, we get well. We earn money, we lose money. We gain power, we lose power.
We live in a constant state of change. What can we hold onto for security when everything's always changing?
Ah, but God says, “I the LORD do not change." (Malachi 3:6) That's great news, right? Because the God who does not change, cannot be changed. He is who He is. No one can stand against Him to make Him move.
What does that mean? It means the God who does not change (in His essence--His nature) will always remain strong, always firm, always true, always faithful, always...here.
And He tells us He loves us & wants us to love Him back. He made us...on purpose, for a purpose. He says He is Love.
He says He makes everything work for the good of all who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He says His purpose is to seek and save the lost. He is the Savior. He saves them who come to Him. Who answer His call. Who trust and obey.
God says, "I am that I AM." Jesus is God's Son and says, "Before Abraham was, I AM."
The Almighty God tells us that if He is for us, no one can stand against us. Believe Him.
