“Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” ~ 1 Corinthians 2:12

If you've given much thought to the phenomenon of becoming spiritually awake, you have also, no doubt, wondered about the concept of the eternal soul. Thoughts like these are what can make us really appreciate the amazing gift of sight!
You've probably done more than a little marveling at the very real likelihood of there being a God, who must also then be eternal.
If this gnawing, universal, and exclusively human question (does God exist?) has interrupted your daily grind, I think you'll get some gratification (plus) from hearing what these two well respected surgeons have concluded during the course of their life's work.
(And before the animal lovers among you are offended by my saying "exclusively" up there, let me just acknowledge here that I do not fully understand the ideas about animals and the afterlife, but I like to think that each of His living creatures has a unique relationship to God and receives blessings and joy from His hand [with whatever interface that entails].... I do believe that their Creator knows exactly how and when to show justice and mercy on their behalf, too).
I look through the Bible sometimes specifically to find verses that either confirm or repudiate the idea about animals in heaven, but the only few I've found can be understood in very different ways, so I would be irresponsible with God's Word if I were to use them to try to "prove" my point.
Still, I don't fret about things like this because I know the Creator loves His entire creation and is thoroughly both just and merciful. Besides, the Bible doesn't tell us everything there is to know. It tells us everything we need to know. It does tell us, though, many times and in many ways, that people are created in the image of God.
So, back to my introduction to the following videos....
Dr. Ming Wang graduated from both Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum laude). He holds a doctorate in laser physics (University of Maryland) and is one of the few laser eye surgeons anywhere in the world who does. In addition to serving as Clinical Professor for Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Dr. Ming is the founding director of Wang Vision Institute, also in Nashville.
Dr. Wang is involved in many other efforts to help people see life in a more pronounced way -- both physically and spiritually. He often creates his professional and personal objectives with his transformative experience as a child growing up during China's Cultural Revolution in mind.
Dr. Michael Egnor serves as Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He is a neuroscientist, recognized internationally for his research on hydrocephalus, and he is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Hydrocephalus Association here in the U.S.
A practicing neurosurgeon, Dr. Egnor has caused quite a stir by contending that science, itself, presents clear indications that the human soul is real and separate from the organic brain. With 40 years of practicing medicine and over 7,000 brain surgeries behind him, Dr. Egnor shares compelling evidence for his astounding claim.
